Our vision

Monkeyshine was created to replicate the old fashioned toy shops we all remember from our childhoods before the invasion of the faceless 'toy sheds' that dominate out of town retail parks and have largely killed off the independent retailer. As we have grown so has our product range and we have expanded into lifestyle products for parents and children but still ensure that everything we stock is of the utmost quality and value.

 Our core values

We believe that at heart today's children aren't that much different from yesteryear however the range of electronic and computer based technology has made them increasingly sedentary and unimaginative and is most definitely at the core of many health issues now facing the next generation. We firmly believe that if a child is presented with engaging, stimulating and active toys it will encourage these qualities within them and with any luck this will be the foundation of a more balanced lifestyle.

Our Charity

For 2009 we are proud sponsors of Domestic Abuse Support Carlilse a charitable oragnisation set up to help children and women in abusive environments. The group offer advice, counseling and confidential support for anybody affected by domestic violence.
